Flying by the Seat of my Pants

Greece got scratched. We didnt realize that the ferry was 36 hours and we only had deck seats. Yikes! Greece deserves its own trip anyway.

The most up-to-date itinerary is as follows:

Ljubljana, Slovenia the 9th and 10th
Maybe Croatia after this
Budapest and Prague are in here too
oh, and maybe Vienna too.

I know the details are really specific. We really have done a great job planning. (Val I miss your type A personality and slight OCD tendencies).

Today we enjoyed a long day that included the worst car ride ever between Innsbruck and Venice. Michael drives like a maniac and his girlfriend (who weighs probably 100 pounds) got to sit in the front the entire time because she gets car sick. Meanwhile Megan, Kayla and I were packed into the backseat of the Ford Focus. We joked as we crossed the Austria-Italy border that we felt like Mexicans in a truck trying to cross the U.S. border. I got car sick for the first time ever and spent the beautiful drive trying to contain my nauseus stomach.

Venice was nice. We walked around, rode some boats, ate some food, played with pigeons and thats about it. It was great to see Michael and meet his girlfriend and Kayla, another B'town native.

Ciao Ciao.

I'm thinkin' you must have some gypsy blood in you as much as you move around! Speaking of moving around... I'm going to Wisconsin this evening and will return to B'ton on Sunday. Mike will stay until Friday so we are traveling separately; gas is down to $2.99 so why not!

Funny story for ya...not sure if you remember Elaina Zaiser (Ethan's little sister who is 3 or 4) anyway she came in the Y this morning and came over to show me her new "Little Kitty" shoes. I wore jeans to work today, and as they were walking down the hall to childcare Elaina asked her Mom why I wasn't working today. Nina told her I was working and Elaina replied "But, she's not wearing a skirt outfit."

I didn't think I wore that many skirts to work but apparently she remembers the day I did! She is too cute:-) They have a Wheaten Terrier puppy that she is going to bring to the Y to show me sometime. I remember the one we saw at the tailgate party in Lawrence and how adorable it was.

Anyway, better get back to work and earn some $!

Enjoy the sights...whatever and wherever they may be!

Love ya,
Mom

I think you made a wise choice to do Greece another time - 36 hours is too much time to waste on a ferry. Can I go along when you go back to Greece????? That's one place I've always wanted to go.
Take care, be safe and have a blast!
